This is where it’s at. John & Julia are a stunningly fun couple, and they literally asked me to create unique and artistic wedding photography -just for them. Simply giving your photographer permission to be an artist can free them up so much, and I love being free as a wedding photographic artist. Rather than creating the same old tired vignettes of “stand over here and kiss” photography, they allowed me to create stunning wedding artwork for the two of them.
I traveled down to Columbus for their wedding. I’m thankful to photograph weddings for couples all across the country, and it’s fun when I get to be a wedding photographer in Columbus. The morning revolved around the ladies and men getting dressed for their wedding at the Heritage Golf Club in Columbus, Ohio later that day. Being a photojournalistic wedding photographer, I candidly captured story-telling images of them getting dressed and enjoying each other’s company.
Before their wedding at the Heritage Golf Club in Columbus, I choreographed a private introduction. John FREAKED over his bride – it was awesome. I backed off and captured some wonderful candid imagery to forever preserve this special moment.
I think the best wedding photographers are those that are visual story-tellers, not just a person with a camera clicking away frames. I believe in carefully approaching every image I capture, composing it thoughtfully as moments unveil. As a photojournalistic wedding photographer in columbus, I have to move fast, as the most important moments are fleeting.
The above set holds some of my favorite moments from their introduction and the beginnings of our creative wedding photography session. Given that their wedding at the Heritage Golf Club, I set up this really cool image of the two of them together in front of the building. I think it’s a fun statement about their wedding day.
We spent the afternoon in Columbus ohio, creating some awesome wedding photography in Columbus, Ohio. I love utilizing architecture in my approach to modern wedding photography in Columbus – as the careful juxtaposition of a couple with modern buildings can create some wonderful motifs. I’m also super proud of my nifty vocabulary in my last sentence – just FYI 🙂
Being a fun wedding photographer in Columbus, Ohio I’m not afraid to ask a bridal party to have fun and relax. Although elegant images have their place in your wedding photography, a wedding day is also a celebration of fun with your closest friends.
I love Columbus, and loved exploring the buildings and neighborhoods to create this awesome columbus wedding photography. I escorted and led the bridal party through some neighborhoods and areas I had mapped out that would be ripe for good wedding photography.
We had a lot of fun as we explored and created together. I love unique and artistic wedding photography in Columbus – it’s such a cool city that a modern wedding photographer in Columbus can really create some stunning wedding photography.
The image of the men on the right is simply one of my absolute favorites of all time. I love the natural leading of the lines – it feels masculine and architectural, a perfect groomsmen image.
Natural – that’s what I love about these images. They are natural and life-full – not fake or posey pose. I believe in organic and natural wedding photography. I love helping couples and directing them to naturally be themselves – often laughing with them in the process of creating our unique brand of creative wedding photography. I love that you can totally see John & Julia’s love in these images.
1….2….3…. get each-other! 😉
We were setting up this fun photograph of the columbus skyline when Julia was justin ga gut over something John said. Love the personality in this image.
Columbus has some of the coolest architectural pieces for modern wedding photography that any columbus wedding photographer could ask for. When we found this bridge, I knew it would be perfect for these two.
Our creative photography session in and around Columbus was such a fun afternoon. We were soon back at Heritage Golf Club for the wedding and reception.
And this is Heritage Golf Club an awesome place for a wedding in Columbus. It’s super elegant as you’re coming down the drive – full of class and character.
The wedding at Heritage Golf Club was out back on their patio, surrounded by nature and beauty. The staff at Heritage Golf Club set up an awesome outdoor wedding in Columbus. It was breathtaking.
Prior to the wedding at the Heritage Golf Club I found the men chatting on the back patio of the building.
The wedding at Heritage Golf Club was personal and fantastic. The sun peaked out at just the right moments to shine some love on these two as they wed. They were all smiles, as were their friends and family.
We rolled quickly into their wedding reception at the Heritage Golf Club directly after. Heritage Golf Club was set up beautifully for their wedding reception. As a modern wedding photographer in Columbus, I love capturing all the little unique details and pieces to a couples wedding day. I know they had put a lot of thought into how the reception at Heritage Golf Club would look, and I wanted to ensure they’d get to enjoy the set-up.
The reception at the Heritage Golf Club was absolutely amazing -thanks to the great talents of Chris at Capitol City Sound. I love receptions that have life and story, and I loved this wedding reception at the Heritage Golf Club for just that reason.
Julia & John, it was a simply awesome pleasure to be your columbus wedding photographer for your wedding at the Heritage Golf Club. I’m so pleased I was able to serve your family and document your day – I enjoy you two plenty and am just so thankful we got to make this happen!
