Ok get ready, Aaron and Lisa are seriously one of my favorite couples of the year! Their wedding day was just perfect. Not stressful, tons of fun, great weather and super cool locations to shoot in! Everything just aligned flawlessly to create an amazing day for them. They deserve every bit of that perfectness because they are the most kind people. I felt so welcomed by them & everyone who was a part of the wedding.
You know when you just feed off of the vibe of other people? This day was really about that. They just had such a good energy together and when that energy meets with all of mine (which we all know I’ve got a lot of!) it just creates this great working relationship between us which is how great images are born.
The experience was so much fun and although the creative session was about 4 hours long, they still couldn’t get enough and were already talking about doing a bride and groom redo down the road haha! I’ve already done two with my husband and Brett let me know they actually booked one for next year. Any excuse to get back in that fabulous dress, Lisa!!!
I LOVE her dress. I’m sure your shocked to see me say that. My wedding ring and dress addiction starts to become really clear with every blog post I write…but seriously, it was such a great shape for her. She just couldn’t have chosen a better dress.
And the rings! You know how I love the rings. I love finding cool things to shoot on. I actually took the bottom of the centerpiece for the shot on the left!
Ooohh…. her super-duper cute plane broach pin was a perfect fit for her wedding at the 100th bomb group, and totally fit the theme of the wedding!
Early in the day, Lisa seemed quiet, maybe nervous or just tired so I wasn’t sure what the tone of the day would be. Some brides are just more reserved than others…..
…..BUT THEN they had their first look and Lisa changed. So I’m thinking it was nerves because she just glowed after seeing Aaron. I can certainly see why as well. Being a married woman, I know that anytime I catch my husband looking at me how he was looking at her, I know it totally changes how I feel about everything.
It makes me happy about everything and thats pretty much how the rest of the day was. I swear he didn’t stop smiling at her the whole time.
OH! and did I mention the first look was at this awesome airfield? They said they wanted to shoot at an airplane hanger and I was like… OH YES YES YES! haha and it was so awesome my brain could explode a little.
The airplane theme and the wedding reception at the 100th bomb group in cleveland were a perfect match because Aaron is a pilot in the army.
Aaron actually flies choppers too – so these images are such a fun combination of all his loves π
The people at the airfield were so nice to us. They even let Lisa sit up on the wing of a plane! AH YES!
After finishing up at the airfield, we went to downtown Cleveland to meet up with their wedding party.
Oh geez – I love being an artistic wedding photographer in cleveland! The best wedding photographers in cleveland are those that can work with couples and bridal parties to create awesome and fun wedding photography in cleveland.
The ladies and the guys were awesome that day.
It was fun having all the men in different outfits – Aaron and some of his military men got to wear their dress uniforms, while the other groomsmen got to rock out some fine “civilian” threads.
Different dresses in these springy colors is my favorite!
Obviously, the tone changed a little when we met up with the wedding party. They were soooooo stiff and boring. UGhhhhh! Β π Geez people, bring some life into the images!
I think the best wedding photographers in cleveland are those wedding photographers in cleveland that aren’t afraid to have a little fun. Too often too many wedding photographers in cleveland get stuck on being boring and lame. That’s not who people are – real people have life and joy to them.
I’m not saying that the best wedding photographers in cleveland don’t utilize elegance and romance in their images (we certainly do!), but it’s more about creating an element of diversity in your wedding images. People are not one dimensional, and therefore neither should your wedding photographer be!
A candid wedding photographer in Cleveland can capture those fun little moments that happen so quickly on a wedding day.
I love the little natural motif that happened on the image on the right above. Hippy-ish, I love it.
Seriously, Lisa BEAMS and smiles when Aaron is around.
What are the odds of a cool old truck coming by at the exact perfect moment? Cool things like this seemed to happen all day! So happy this capture pulled out.
Also one of my favorites! I enjoy photos that are very sneaky sometimes. π
WHOA! ….also a favorite. Ok I’ve got a lot of favorites. Deal with it! π Β But for real, that dress – those ruffles – the lines!! Perfection! I think the best wedding photographers in Cleveland are those that can utilize the unique architecture of Cleveland into their cleveland wedding photography.
Here is where elegance comes into play. Lisa has these awesome eyes that can just say so much.
Heebie Jeebie this better end up as a big canvas somewhere. I want to photoshop Ryan and I into this really bad so I can have it for myself! π
Oh yes, and there was a ceremony, too! π The wedding ceremony at the 100th Bomb Group was pretty darn awesome. Lisa and Aaron’s closest friends gathered and cheered them on.
And again, what are the odds a plane would go right over the ceremony at the most perfect moment! This sealed the deal for the wedding at the 100th bomb group – combine that with a plane themed wedding, and you have wedding awesomeness.
I LOVE weddings at the 100th bomb group, especially on a beautiful day. A wedding at the 100th bomb group is always fun and full of character.
Their wedding reception at the 100th Bomb Group was AMAZING! I could not imagine a more perfect venue for their wedding reception and for Aaron because that man LOVES planes. π
They had so many unique details on all the tables at their wedding reception at the 100th bomb group. I can’t even imagine how long all that took to put together.
You could really tell they put a lot of thought into everything. The paper flowers were all handmade as well by a friend of theirs. They had vintage cameras everywhere, giving the wedding reception at the 100th bomb group the feeling of being back in world war 2 era america.
To make it even more romantical, they had their notes that they wrote back and forth to each other while at camp printed onto the paper that the flowers were made from. The roses served as the guests favor. It was super adorable touch to their wedding reception at the 100th bomb group.
Planes, planes and more planes π The 100th bomb group has a sweet set of world war 2 era fliers posted outside of the venue. Given that Aaron and Lisa were planning a plane themed wedding, a wedding reception at the 100th bomb group was the premium choice.
For real, the reception details were off the hook and everywhere. It was a fun filled wedding reception photo scavenger hunt for this cleveland wedding photographer!
Let me talk about the food at this 100th bomb group wedding reception. Whoa. Delicious! The staff was also so amazing to all the vendors. They were so polite made sure we had food right away as well. It was a really awesome experience being a wedding photographer at the 100th bomb group.
Lisa and Aaron’s first dance at their 100th bomb group wedding reception was intimate and full of heart.
Seriously, even while walking around greeting their guests these two couldn’t stop the kissing’ π
I love the way the evening light folded into the room during the toasts.
There is this perfect open dome ceiling at the 100th bomb group – perfect for the bouquet toss during the wedding reception – perfect throw Lisa!
The party at this wedding reception at the 100th bomb group was so much fun – full of dancing and lots of memories! Some of my very favorite reception photographs are from the dance floor!
I love me some dance-off circles π
Late into the night, Waldo showed up. So he had to be a part of the ring shot experience. π
But then he had to go, so he hopped into his little plane and took off into the night. :)I had the best time photographing this wedding and I know they are going to have the greatest life together because it’s just crazy obvious how perfect they are for each other.

I’ve been playing Draw Something with Lisa and Aaron and this is how Lisa remembers the day. I do remember saying a lot about minds being blown over many, many images because they were so great! I love how that stuck with her. π hahah!
ps. I do realize it appears that I don’t know how to spell the word wedding. I assure you that was a typo while waiting for her to finish the drawing. π
